Here are the current science standards.  We have three main areas of focus. 
 
  • Standard 1:  Changes in the Earths Surface
  • Standard 2:  Living Things and Their Habitats
  • Standard 3:  Properties of Matter
 
As you can see there are so many possibilities with these subjects.  We can't wait to dive in and see what we learn.  We hope to include hands on activities that will bring in the engineering aspect of science.  The students will not be disappointed.  
 
Each second grade teacher will focus on one of the standards.  We will be rotating each term to give the students a chance to be with each of us.  We are excited for the opportunity to work with each second grader.,  It's going to be a fun year.
