Dichotomous Key Creation Assignment

Dichotomous Key Practice. This is a combination of three worksheets, make sure to print all of them.

Nova Fish Activity page 89. This has three parts. The first part is to cut out all 9 squares of fish. The second is to choose a trait and using that trait you need to sort the fish into categories. The third part is to use the Dichotomous Key to find the names of all the fish and write their names either on the square or by it for each fish.

Bill Nye Cells. We watched the Bill Nye cells video as a follow up to the end of our main section of our Cell unit, and we filled in the worksheet as we watched.

Here are the notes for the periodic table lectures.  It is a rough version but it can help those who wish to study for their test.

Atomic Theory is the history of the atom and how we have studied it.  We watched the video "The History of the Atom" in class to begin the unit on Atoms.  Now the students need to combine what they saw in the video and what they can uncover in their own research to fully answer the worksheet.

Notebook Check 1

Notes on Observation verses Inference, they should be recorded on pages 9 and 10.  Make sure to write a 2 to 3 sentence summary at the bottom of page 10.

Science utilizes many long and complex words, however these words are actually combinations of different prefixes, suffixes and root words.  Understanding these different parts and being able to separate the long science words will enable the student to better handle their studies.
