Course Description

 Students will be provided opportunities to develop their basic acting, script writing, constructing, and critical thinking skills through reading, acting, and constructively criticizing different scenes from different eras.

Term 1 Missing/Late work

We are just working!

We have been working on our improv skills in theater this week. We have been playing lots of games and having a great time! Next week we will be improving on our scenes for a final grade.

Midterms!

It's midterms next week! Please log into Aspire and check your missing work! Also, if you have any questions or concerns about grades feel free to email me.

Theater class

The students have been working hard on memorizing a scene to present to the class. They will be performing them next Tuesday. I am excited to see what they have prepared! These performances give me a great baseline to chart their growth over the next school year. I love watching them learn and progress over the year.

Beauty and the Beast cast List

The cast list is up today. Thanks to all 83 students who auditioned. You were all fabulous and I wish I could have 83 Belle's and Beasts. Rehearsals will begin Thursday, September 6th from 2:45-4:15. I can work around volleyball, cross country and soccer if I know about it in advance. The coaches are also willing to work with the students in the play. I will send home a rehearsal calendar with the students on Thursday and I will also put it here next week. Please email me with any questions.

Beauty and the Beast Information Letter

Reagan Academy middle school will be performing "Beauty and the Beast Jr." as the after school play this year. The play will be performed on November 16, 17, and 19th. We will be holding auditions next Monday and Tuesday after school. Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student is invited to audition. Auditions will be held after school and the sign-ups will be on the auditorium door starting tomorrow, Wednesday the 22nd. The flyer has all the information.
