Monday, May 13th- 5th grade band/orchestra concert at 6:30 pm.

Monday, May 13th- Concert Band/Orchestra concert at 7:30 pm.

Wednesday, May 15th- Wind and Percussion Ensemble/Orchestra concert at 7:00 pm.

Thursday, May 16th- 5th grade Choir concert at 6:30 pm.

Thursday, May 16th- Middle school Choir concert at 7:30 pm.

Friday, May 17th- 1st period theater production 8:30 am-9:30 am

Friday, May 17th- 2nd period theater production 9:45-10:45 am

 

Students need to be in concert dress and be here at the school 30 minutes before the scheduled performance time. Please email me with any questions. I look forward to showing you all our hard work!!

Here is the Festival Permission Slip for Percussion and Wind Ensemble. Please look over it and sign it and send it back with your student by next Monday. As always, if you have a questions feel free to email me. Thank you so much!!

Welcome back from Spring Break! We are working hard these last few weeks to prepare for concerts and the end of the year play. Concert dates are as follows:

 

May 7th- Wind Ensemble/Percussion UVU Band Festival

May 7th- 5th Grade Hope of America

May 13th- 5th and Concert Band Concerts

May 15th- Wind Ensemble/Percussion Band Concert

May 16th- 5th Grade and Middle School Choir Concerts

May 17th- End of the year play for Theater classes (during school)

 

I will be sending home more information in the next week with times for these performances. Please mark your calendars and feel free to email me with any questions!

There are 2 talent shows tonight! Featuring some awesome students and teachers! The shows are at 6:00 and 8:00 and tickets are $2 each. All the profits go to help the music department. Please let me know if you have any questions and good luck to all the students in the show!

I would like to sincerely apologize that we will not be attending the Charter School Music Festival on March 29th.  There was a lot of miscommunication between schools about performance times and registration.  Unfortunately our school was not included on the performance list this year for the Charter festival.  We are disappointed as I’m sure you and your students are because we have been working hard to prepare for this event.  Your student’s hard work will not go to waste!  We will still have the chance to go to a festival this school year.  UVU has a Middle School Band music festival on May 7th which our school administration is supporting by working around end of year activities to make this happen.  I am so grateful for everyone’s patience and support in helping us create a great musical experience for our students.  Again, I am sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this change might cause and look forward to sharing our amazing band with the clinicians at the UVU Festival in May.

As we are working on all sorts of songs in band and choir, just a quick reminder that students should be practicing 10 minutes a day- 5 times a week. Please let me know if you have any questions. I will be getting festival information for choir out to parents next week.

We will be going to the Charter School Festival for band and orchestra on March 29th. That is the Friday before Spring Break. Thank you to all who responded to my email.

I have emailed the Wind Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble parents with a question about Festival. Please read it and respond if needed. It is really important that I get an accurate count to see if it is possible to do the Charter School Festival this year. Thanks!

Welcome back! I hope your Christmas Break was fun and relaxing! We are wrapping up 2nd term and gearing up for 3rd term. All late or missing work is due by Monday, January 7th. We will be starting character projects in theater on Monday and they will be due next Friday. The older band and percussion and middle school choir will be starting on their festival pieces. Concert band and 5th grade band and 5th grade choir will be still keep working hard on new pieces and in their books. I am looking forward to the new term!

I was so proud of all my band, percussion, and choir students! You all did fabulous at your concerts this last week!! We will be moving forward in our books and starting to prepare for festival when we come back in January! I can't wait to keep moving forward with all these different groups!
