President/Chair - Joe Millward (Audit and Financial Committee Member) - [email protected]

My name is Joe Millward. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a master’s degree in accounting. I have spent most of my career as a financial controller for manufacturing companies.

My children have attended Reagan Academy since 2008. Three of my children have graduated from Reagan, 2 are currently enrolled and 1 will begin in 2023. I love the opportunities that the school provides all Reagan students to build solid academic foundations, challenges them at a pace individualized to their abilities, and enables parents and teachers to work together to achieve the educational goals we have for our children.

My wife Kamie and I have volunteered in many different capacities, including in classrooms, on field trips, and on several PVO committees. We have seen what a difference parent involvement can make. I appreciate all that Reagan Academy has done for my family and enjoy the opportunity to give back by serving on the board of trustees.

Vice Chair – Ron Squire -[email protected]

I have a bachelors of science in Psychology as well as a master’s degree in social work (both from BYU). I am psychotherapist with my own practice in Provo, a father of 4 (3 of which attend Reagan), and am passionate about applying psychological truths and research as well as philosophies of life to the healthy development of our youth.

As a member of the board I hope to bring my experience to the table of child/adolescent development, psychotherapy, working with couples and families, to ensure that Reagan is a place that students will attend to focus on education and leave feeling empowered to tackle the next stage of life.

Some of what I may suggest or recommend will not necessarily be revolutionary by any means but rather would be a type of returning to the basics and building block approaches that produce students who are not afraid of and want to avoid the world but rather, confident in their ability to handle the challenges they will face in the world. I feel connected to and believe in Reagan. If I can help Reagan Academy in any way to fulfill its charter and to continue as a leader in the county/state in education, I am happy to do so.

Treasurer - Austianna Wilson (Audit and Financial Committee Member) [email protected]

My name is Austianna, and my children have attended Reagan Academy for two school years. We chose to transfer to Reagan after moving homes, and our daughters' educations have been thriving here. I've witnessed firsthand the patience and dedication of Reagan's staff as I've worked with them to address my kids' roadblocks. Their compassion towards my children has inspired me to volunteer as a parent-voted member of the Board of Trustees.

I had the opportunity to serve on a board in the past, serving two years on the Washington State Board of Education. I worked with 15 other board members to advocate for student learning and long-term success throughout Washington while addressing the diverse student needs and state requirements. My collaboration on that board taught me how to compromise for a big-picture goal and communicate effectively with a large group with differing backgrounds. Beyond my board service, I also work as a nonprofit accountant, passionate about helping organizations achieve their mission goals through fiscal responsibility. My nonprofit work experience and my board background make me a valuable team member of this board as they continue to work to maintain Reagan Academy's impeccable reputation and learning environment. I would be honored to contribute through policy-focused governance and advocacy for student growth. As parents, we want our children to acquire a quality education and thrive in their pursuit of learning. I can join with the current board members to advocate for our children and the mission of the charter we have chosen for them as members of this vital community.

Secretary – Amber Rogers- [email protected]

Our family has attended Reagan Academy for eight years with our two boys currently in the 7th and 4th grades. We have immense gratitude for Reagan Academy’s faculty, its Board of Trustees, and the community of Reagan’s students and families who have contributed to our boys’ rich experience and development throughout the years.

As a veteran of the United States Air Force and Registered Nurse, I am mission and advocacy oriented by nature. With a background in logistics planning and as a flight clinic nurse, I learned to execute critical missions through strategic resource management. Throughout my career I coupled that skill with advocacy for our vulnerable veteran patient populations within the Veteran Affairs system and in various acute healthcare settings. Becoming a parent eventually changed the focus of my mission and advocacy, and I am so grateful for Reagan Academy’s willingness to partner with us parents in our most critical missions yet - providing our children with an environment to thrive academically and provide opportunities to become resilient, principled individuals.

As a weekly classroom volunteer, substitute teacher, PVO volunteer, and field trip chaperone, I have gained invaluable insights into Reagan’s culture and classroom dynamics, including its mission to provide an environment for foundational academic experiences and a sense of citizenship for all students. It would be an honor to continue to support the governance and mission of Reagan Academy’s charter through service on its Board of Trustees.

Member - Joy Herring- [email protected]

My name is Joy Herring. Our family has had the privilege of being a part of Reagan Academy for the past 12 years. My husband Kevin and I have 5 children, 4 of whom have graduated from Reagan Academy and our youngest is currently in 1st grade.

I have served as a Board of Trustees member at another charter school in Utah. I have been PVO Board President at Reagan Academy and have served as a committee chair and member in the Reagan PVO organization. I have also worked in the lunchroom and volunteered in many classrooms. I feel that one of Reagan Academy's greatest strengths is the unity between the board, administration, teachers, staff, parents and students. In all my roles at Reagan, the goal is to help our children grow and thrive as individuals. I have seen this exemplified in the lives of many students, especially my own children.

As a small business entrepreneur, I am comfortable working with a wide variety of people and situations. I value building on the foundation of the Reagan Academy charter and helping ensure many more years of success as an incredible charter school community.
