Welcome to a New School Year at Reagan Academy!

Hello and welcome! My name is Mrs. Porray, and I’m thrilled to be your child’s 2nd-grade teacher this year. This will be my fourth-year teaching 2nd grade, and I absolutely love this age—full of curiosity, creativity, and excitement for learning!

Our classroom will be a safe and supportive space where your child will grow not just academically, but socially and emotionally too. We’ve got a fun-filled year ahead with hands-on science experiments, engaging math challenges, creative writing projects, and adventures in reading that will spark a lifelong love of learning.

I truly believe that every child can succeed, and I’m committed to helping each student thrive in a positive, encouraging environment.

Communication is key to a successful school year! I’ll send out a weekly email or newsletter with classroom updates, important dates, and upcoming events. Please also subscribe to my class on the Reagan App to stay in the loop with the latest information.

You’ll be receiving a packet soon with everything you need to know for the year. I also hope to see you at Back to School Night/Open House on August 11th from 4:30–6:00 p.m.—it’s a great chance to meet, ask questions, and get excited about the year ahead!
