Remote Learners: STEM (11/3/20)

Today we are going to do a short lesson on Cooperative Learning.  Watch this video and then complete the research assignment.

  1. Go to the Internet and do a search on “Benefits of Cooperative Learning”
  2. Find 3 websites with good information
  3. Read through and study the information on these web pages.
  4. Type a 1-page report (double spaced, Times New Roman 12 point font) on the information you have found.
  5. Include sources of where you found the information.

For Multimedia, we will be creating a film using at least 20 of the camera angles on the attached document.  Please read over the document to  learn about the project.  Watch these 3 videos and follow along with the document I have given you.  Not all of the camera angles will be shown, but I have given an explanation about each camera angle.

We are starting a new unit making 3D kitchen designs in SketchUp.  We will start by drawing a plan on paper.  Here is a tutorial video and the hand-out I gave out in class.

Students will be creating digital music using a website called soundation.com.

Steps to login to soundation.com:

Go to:  https://soundation.com

Click “Join for free.”

Click on the "Get Free” button

Click on “Sign up with Google”

Where it says, “Choose an account,” scroll to the bottom and click “Use another account”

Username:  the first initial of the student name and full last name, i.e., [email protected]

Choose “G Suite account”

Password: falcon and then student lunch number, i.e., falcon11234

Agree with the terms.

When you get in, you will be on the Community tab.  At the top of the screen, click on the “Studio” tab.

In the middle of the screen, click on the “Blank Project” link.

You are now ready to start making music.

to watch tutorials.

Start with tutorial video 1.  The tutorials will auto play the next video.  Watch the video tutorial 1-3 and create your own music with soundation.

Create a song that is at least 30 measures long.
