Percussion Ensemble

Welcome to Percussion Ensemble for the 2024-2025 year! I am so excited to have you in class! Below is the disclosure statement for percussion. It will have my grading scale, attendance policy, concert dress requirements, and any performance dates. I will hand a copy to your student on the first day of school. Please sign and return it by Friday, August 16th. Also, here is the supply list: a practice pad, a set of drumsticks, a pair of xylophone mallets, a black binder with 15-20 sheet protectors, and a pencil. If you have a metal glock (xylophone) please bring that too. Or for one of the returning percussion students bring your percussion kit. Please feel free to email me with any questions. If you are playing percussion, you will need a percussion kit with a practice pad, drumsticks, a metal glock (xylo), mallets, and a stand. (Just look on Amazon at percussion kit. You can also get them at any music store like Booth Brothers or Summerhays and even pawn shops.)

We will be performing out annual Halloween concert on October 31st at 9:15 and 9:55 am. Parents are welcome to come and watch for a fun Halloween activity! Students are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes in the concert.

We will be performing our annual Veterans Day Breakfast and Concert on Monday, November 11th at 9:00 am. Any veteran is welcome to come and have breakfast on us here at Reagan Academy and enjoy a patriotic concert put on by our fabulous middle school and 5th grade choirs, middle school band and orchestra. Parents are always welcome as well as we celebrate this wonderful country of ours.
