1. Find safe and reliable information for your report:
Best Resource: Utah's Online Library has safe and reliable information for any report. You will need a password which was sent home on a blue bookmark in September. You can get another one at the library or call to ask Mrs. Richardson the password during school hours.

Kiddle Safe Visual Search Engine for Kids - by Google - "sites appearing in Kiddle search results satisfy family friendly requirements, as we filter sites with explicit or deceptive content."
Safe Search Kids - "Safe Search Kids uses Google’s SafeSearch features with additional filtering added to block potentially harmful material at home and in schools."
2. Keep track of where you find the information you use from books, magazines, the internet, or other sources.
3. Organize your report - The
Top Notch Teaching website outlines the structure of a report in clear and simple language and gives ideas for parents (or teachers) to help students be successful.
4. Most of the time, rewrite information you learned into your own words. If you must use the exact wording from one of your sources, ALWAYS use quote marks and tell where you found the information in the body of your report
5. Make a Works Cited page (also called references, citations, or bibliography).
Bibliography.com is a website that helps you make citations which you can easily copy and paste into your report (
HINT: citations are made in different formats (APA, MLA, Chicago) which changes the order of the information provided - just make sure you use the same format for every citation if your teacher didn't already assign a specific format for you).
